Keep Forever Chemicals out of California Drinking Water

PFAS, known as "forever chemicals" are substances that build up in the environment and have toxic impacts. Inaction is costly: PFAS-related health impacts far exceed prevention costs. Setting limits would save billions in medical expenses and cleanup, making action both necessary and economically responsible. This bill would have protected Californians from PFAS chemicals in drinking water regardless of federal action by directing the State Water Board to set regulations that keep PFAS out of our water.
