AB 1243 – Assembly Natural Resources

Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act

For decades, corporate polluters have forced the cost of fossil fuels onto the public while they rake in profits. The Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act would have required the world’s largest fossil fuel polluters to pay their fair share for the damage caused by their products on our communities, environment, and economy in California. Without this bill, polluters will continue to avoid paying their fair share while California taxpayers pay for the costs of climate damage. EnviroVoters was a cosponsor organization of this bill.
