Clean Energy Load Shifting Solutions
California's energy needs are growing, and our state needs to ensure that our use of electricity is cost-effective and climate-safe. To achieve this, SB 541 would have required the Energy Commission to shift electricity usage to times when power is cleaner, cheaper, and more available to meet our 2030 energy goals. It would also require the Utilities Commission to prioritize pricing strategies that lower costs and increase clean energy consumption.
